Yusen Logistics Expands U.S./Mexico Cross Border Solutions

Yusen Logistics, a global third-party logistics (3PL) provider, is expanding its cross-border solutions to address the growing need for reliable logistics services to and from Mexico.

(PRWEB) - Yusen Logistics, a global third-party logistics (3PL) provider, is expanding its U.S./Mexico cross-border solutions to address the growing need for reliable logistics services to and from Mexico.

The company’s Mexico Border Cargo Management (BCM) solutions offer shippers a variety of multi-modal cross-border solutions that can be tailored to specific customer requirements. The solutions include an over-the-road (OTR) option, as well as combinations of truck and rail services.

Leveraging its strong relationships with reliable rail, truck and dray carriers throughout the U.S. and Mexico, Yusen Logistics has access to tens of thousands of trucks and containers, ensuring capacity and service on both sides of the border.

“The leverage we have from our global purchasing power allows us to offer committed capacity solutions to our customers,” says Jordan Dewart, Vice President, Yusen Logistics Mexico. “Our one-stop solution can accommodate all of our customer’s cross-border shipping needs.”

Yusen Logistics’ BCM service gives U.S. customers multiple cross-border shipping options, including:

  • Over-the-Road: Shipment is trucked from origin in the U.S./Canada to final destination in Mexico;
  • Border Direct: Shipment goes by rail intermodal to Laredo and then is trucked to the final destination in Mexico;
  • Mexico Direct: Shipment is moved by rail intermodal from the U.S. to the destination ramp in Mexico, and then is trucked to the final destination.

In addition, Yusen Logistics has operations in both the U.S. and Mexico, including a 100,000-square-foot warehouse in Laredo, TX, which is close to the Mexico border, and offices in Mexico City, Monterrey and Celaya. The Laredo facility is C-TPAT certified and FTZ and customs bonded.

“Our ability to inspect cargo and clear customs in-house at our Laredo campus helps us to orchestrate the flow of goods from pick up through border crossing and on to final destination,” says Dewart. “In addition, our offices are located close to the most important commercial and manufacturing areas in Mexico.”
