TSC America, Inc

Taiwan Semiconductor Company, Ltd. (TSC) was founded in January 1979 at Taipei, Taiwan to manufacture and market semiconductors to the electronics industry. Specializing in diodes,rectifiers, bridges, and transient voltage suppressors TSC's products are used in almost every market segment imaginable from home electrical appliances to major defense programs. TSC commitment to innovation and providing value to its customers has allowed it to be one of the major suppliers for diodes and rectifiers in Taiwan while gaining a reputation for high quality and superior customer service. This reputation provided the impetus for TSC to become a Taiwan public company in Feb 2000 and have anticipated worldwide sales of over $50 million US dollars in FY2000.

To meet the growing market demands for its products TSC constructed new plants in 1988 (I-Lan, Taiwan),1995 (Yangxin, China), and 1996 (Tianjin, China). These plants comprise over 250,000sf of manufacturing area and employ over 1,300 workers. With additional capacity being added annually TSC is committed to meeting the demands of the rapidly growing market for its products.

To improve its visibility and service in the United States TSC opened TSC America in 1996 to handle all its dealings in North and South America. This facility located in Pomona, California stocks, markets, and sells all TSC product in North and South America.

Building on its principles of diversification, TSC began development of a Thermal barcode printer in 1991 and by 1994 TSC was the largest supplier of these printers in Taiwan.

In the future TSC and TSC America will continue to increase both its technology base and manufacturing base to insure its ability to meet the every growing demands for its products.
