Transplace Honors Less-Than-Truckload Carrier With Inaugural Award
Transplace, a leading provider of transportation management services and logistics technology solutions, recently announced the first recipient of its less-than-truckload (LTL) key performance award. The winner, Estes Express Lines, was identified Tuesday in Dallas at the annual Carrier Symposium, a Transplace signature event.
"We thought this event be the perfect time to debut the top LTL performer for Transplace customers," said Transplace LTL Services General Manager James Greer. "After seriously considering multiple LTL carriers, this unveiling of our inaugural award winner was a work in process, but well worth the effort. Estes Express assists Transplace with driving out the operating inefficiencies, which keeps transportation and supply chain costs low for our customers."
The Transplace LTL Carrier of the Year Award is based on companywide quantitative data. To be eligible, an LTL carrier must have met the following requirements:
- Hauled at least 10,000 loads for Transplace
- Provided freight services to at least three Transplace accounts
- Maintained on-time pick-up and delivery of 97% or better – Estes was at 97.9%
- Contracted as an LTL carrier
- Maintained an excellent customer service relationship across all accounts
- Provided regular feedback and communication to all levels of management
"Estes Express Lines first became a Transplace carrier in 2007, and in 2008 they maintained a 97.9 percent on-time pickup and delivery," said Greer. "We intend to continue with recognizing our top performers, which helps build relationships and fosters improvements, processes and best practices for other carrier partnerships."
