Transite Technology Signs Multi-Year Deal With Ellman International To Provide Shipping Logistic Services

RALEIGH, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Transite Technology, a leading provider of logistic and shipping cost-management software and services, has been chosen by Ellman International, a primary manufacturer of medical surgical devices, to help lower the cost of product delivery to their customers in the United States, Europe and Asia. Terms of the multiyear contract were not disclosed.

"We enable our customers to have cost-focus and visibility to the shipping and delivery portion of their supply chain," said Geoff Comrie, CEO of Transite. "Companies typically look to lower the cost of their products by focusing on raw materials and processes but companies like Ellman are now applying the same science and rigor when it comes to shipping and transportation."

Transite's My Freight Portal, Contract Manager and additional products and services help companies obtain the least-cost methods and carriers for every customer order while increasing a company's ability to manage their shipping logistics and offer better customer service through visibility of the entire shipping process.

"We are in an increasingly competitive market that is wrestling with rapidly increasing fuel costs," said Adam Hitch, executive vice president of sales for Ellman International. "Reducing the cost of goods sold gives us a competitive advantage and we believe that Transite's solutions will enable a direct and visible cost benefit."

Ellman International, based in Oceanside, NY makes precision surgical tools and equipment used to perform medical, dental and veterinary procedures.
