Distribution Review/Needs Assessment

An independent assessment of your company's distribution costs, policies and procedures. Goal is to identify improvement opportunities in key traffic and distribution areas.

We analyze distribution costs and other key areas, and measure them against industry benchmarks. Costs are analyzed by function, product group and customer type. This is followed by a review of all warehousing and distribution procedures. Upon completion we present a detailed report of our findings, as well as a detailed strengths and weakness report on your distribution functions. Key data is provided to support the analysis.

Comprehensive Analysis & Strategy Development

A company wide examination of strategies, costs and procedures affecting (or affected by) product distribution. This is followed by specific recommendations to reduce cost, improve customer service & increase efficiency.

The project begins with an examination of the flow of materials (and data) through the supply chain. Distribution costs are analyzed by function, product group and customer type. All departments involved in or affected by product distribution are interviewed and provide input and data. Company policies and procedures are closely examined and improvement opportunities identified. Customer service needs and industry practices are examined and compared to the company's standards.

From this analysis we present a comprehensive review of our findings, including a strength and weakness report and needs analysis. Following the presentation and the client's internal review of our findings we work with key personnel to develop recommendations to reduce costs, improve operational efficiency, and enhance customer service. This includes a realistic plan to achieve these goals.
