Syncromatics And AlterNetWays Partner To Deliver Sustainable Transportation Solutions

Syncromatics Corporation, an award-winning provider of real-time bus tracking and analysis systems, recently announced a strategic partnership with AlterNetWays, a leading carpool/vanpool management system with locations throughout the U.S. Building on similar approaches to transit efficiency, Syncromatics and AlterNetWays will begin integrating their offerings from technical and marketing standpoints to present a unified solution to managing, optimizing and publicizing alternative transportation options.

"AlterNetWays is committed to sustainable transportation alternatives and has demonstrated success nationwide. The partnership between AlterNetWays and Syncromatics is strengthened by our company's common goals and will leverage our synergistic customer network to establish the first truly comprehensive alternative transportation solution to the public," said Josh Bigelow, CEO of Syncromatics. "We have already begun merging our web-based offerings to serve existing clients who use both our systems, such as UCSD."

AlterNetWays' flagship system, AlterNetRides, is already used by more than 100 organizations around the country, including regional transportation agencies, municipal & county authorities, universities, hospitals, and corporations nationwide. Additionally, AlterNetWays offers a "Commuter Challenge" service that allows organizations to encourage all forms of alternative transportation by tracking CO2 emission savings. AlterNetWays also provides integration with public transit's schedules and routes – to help commuters find a convenient door-to-door alternative to their personal vehicles. Similarly, Syncromatics' comprehensive mapping and analysis tools allow transit operators to gauge passenger traffic and schedule adherence, while bringing increased visibility and simplicity to the public users of various transit systems. Syncromatics was recently selected as the winner of the California Clean Tech Open's $100,000 Lexus Transportation Prize, awarded to Syncromatics for reducing operating costs for transit operators while increasing utility and ridership amongst the general public.
