SimonDelivers Launches New Customer Benefits

SimonDelivers, Inc., Minnesota's leading home grocery delivery company, recently launched a new suite of customer benefits that extend from their route-based delivery service.

SimonDelivers has developed a best in class delivery platform that allows the business to operate one of the nation's most efficient home delivery services. Newly launched services include a "Get to Know your Neighborhood Service Representative ('NSR')" feature and target delivery time information that is updated in real time. "We are very excited about our new enhancements," says Chris Servais, Vice President of Operations. "Our customers have come to expect exceptional service and now by allowing them to not only see when we will be at their door, but who is actually making the delivery, we feel we're adding an unprecedented level of customer service and security."

SimonDelivers has joined with UPS Logistics Technologies in deploying these features. The NSRs carry GPS-enabled Nextel phones that allow our system to track every delivery and traffic glitch, while dynamically updating the customer's targeted delivery time. While the online grocery industry has long used two-hour delivery time window commitments, SimonDelivers has proven, with 98% reliability, that it can deliver within plus or minus thirty minutes of the delivery time. "With each delivery, snowflake and traffic delay, we learn more about our routes -- enabling continued improvements in our planning, execution, and customer satisfaction," stated Mr. Servais.

"SimonDelivers continues to break new ground in their industry," said Len Kennedy, Vice President-General Manager, UPS Logistics Technologies. "By utilizing our Transportation Suite software, they'll continue to enhance their route efficiencies." This program is one of the few transportation management applications with seamless data transmission from routing to delivery available today. It uses a single database, allowing for significant time savings during account maintenance, and reports to be queried and printed from a single location for multiple applications.

"This relationship with UPS Logistics Technologies is one of many components in our long-term strategy," stated Christopher Brown, CEO SimonDelivers. "Our continued investment in their suite of logistics applications provides us with flexibility as our business grows both geographically and strategically."
