Portable Printer with Wireless LAN Connectivity

The new Encore 3N 3-in. portable printer with wireless LAN connectivity is a Long Range RF (LRRF) portable printer with an open architecture to facilitate "plug and play" functionality in multiple network environments. The printer offers Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) and is designed to transmit and receive data at 2.4 GHz, hopping spread spectrum communication at rates of 1 to 2Mbps.

The printer weighs 2.75-lb (1.25kg), enabling point-of-application printing nearly anywhere. In addition, it prints labels and tags with barcodes, text and graphics at 3 ips (76.2mm/s). The printer features a clamshell design for east drop-in media loading, direct thermal technology, and a NiMH battery that prints in excess of 8-hours on a single battery charge.

The portable printer includes 1 MB of non-volatile flash memory for downloadable programs, label formats, and scalable fonts and graphics. In addition, the printer supports major barcode symbologies including 2D PDF-417 and Maxicode.
