James K. Voltmer Named Vice President, Logistics
David Palmieri Appointed Vice President, Product Development

Mondera.com, the vertically integrated luxury e-tailer offering superior quality diamonds, fine jewelry and luxury items sourced from around the world, announced two senior level appointments. James Voltmer has joined Mondera.com as Vice President, Logistics and David Palmieri has been appointed Vice President, Product Development.

In his new role, Voltmer will be responsible for all aspects of fulfillment, receiving, quality assurance, inventory control and facilities management. Voltmer, who has more than thirty years experience in management and luxury retail operations has a proven record in all areas of logistics: distribution, transportation, warehousing, purchasing, import/export and systems development. He was most recently Vice President of Operations and Logistics for Mondi of America, where he reduced costs by up to 20% through labor, freight and distribution channels. Prior to that, Voltmer also served as a Vice President of Operations at David Yurman Designs, Inc., Henry Birks & Sons and as Vice President of Logistics at ESCADA Inc. Voltmer spent eight years at Tiffany & Co. as General Manager and Vice President of Operations, where he designed and implemented the Warehouse Management System, which resulted in improved customer service. He also served as project director for the new distribution center, which involved land acquisition, building design, design team assembly, and instituting an automatic store replenishment system. Voltmer holds a B.A. in psychology from Alfred University.

David Palmieri comes to Mondera.com as the Vice President, Product Development, bringing with him extensive experience in e-commerce, management, and technology. He will be responsible for all site functionality and design at Mondera.com. Palmieri has a proven record of building and leading successful teams, negotiating deals, managing partnerships and designing Internet products. Most recently Palmieri was Director of Product Development and Director of Business Development at BarnesandNoble.com. Prior to Barnesandnoble.com, Palmieri was Director of Business Development for iVillage.com. Palmieri has also worked for Bell Atlantic, and Andersen Consulting. He holds a M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a B.A. magna cum laude in Business Management from Franklin and Marshall.
