Menlo Worldwide Increases Capacity In Australia

San Francisco, CA and Brisbane QLD /PRNewswire/ - Menlo Worldwide Logistics (Menlo), the US$1.7 billion global logistics subsidiary of Con-way Inc. (NYSE: CNW), announced the addition of a new multi-client warehouse and office facility just outside of Brisbane, Australia in Seventeen Mile Rocks. Located in the Metrowest Business and Technology Park, the new facility is evidence of the company's growing presence and extended reach in South Asia.

Menlo is a leading global provider of logistics, transportation management and supply chain services with operations on five continents. The company opened its first Australia office in Sydney in 2006. The new Brisbane facility expands Menlo's presence in the country with a 1,692-square-meter warehouse and 328 square meters of office space. In addition to warehousing, the new facility will provide distribution and transportation management, supply chain engineering and value-added services across multiple industries in the region. Menlo will serve B2B consumer retail customers at this facility.

Along with announcing the Brisbane Logistics Center, Menlo named Greg Brown country manager of operations for Australia. Formerly Menlo's operations manager in Sydney, Greg now oversees the company's growing presence in Australia and works with his peers to ensure first-rate service to customers in South Asia. The Brisbane Logistics Center is the latest example of Menlo's multi-client warehouse management solution. It offers flexibility in contract commitment length, the ability to share existing IT platforms, an experienced management and labor infrastructure, requisite equipment and assets, and a more extensive geographic network of pre-configured warehouse options.

Menlo's Brisbane facility is not only special because of its impressive and functional design, but also because of its high profile location, ideally situated for optimal receiving, warehousing and distribution for multiple customers. It sits a mere 650 meters from the Sumner Road exit off the Centenary Highway, which allows for easy access to the Ipswich Motorway, Logan Motorway, M1 and Gateway Motorway.
