Materials Moving System

This company's Porta-Vator can convert a forklift into an in-plant materials moving system. According to the manufacturer, loads weighing between 10 and 30 tons can be moved easily using a small forklift.

The system is constructed of heavy-duty steel, and features a semi-mobile platform called a porta-station, a forklift-hitch, and a adapter called a porta-arm. Operators can connect the porta-station to the porta-arm by sliding the forks into the hitch adapter base. The porta-arm is then snapped into the porta-station.

The manufacturer states that connections and disconnections can be completed in seconds.
