The new 1400 series Low RPM High Production Shredder has been engineered to operate using a remotely mounted material handling fan, allowing users to separate the noise of the fan from shredding operations. In addition, the shredder's low RPM offers less noise during operation for a quiet, low-dust working environment.

The ruggedly built shredder features 5.75-in. thick solid arbor shafts and rotates at 20 to 60 rpm. The manufacturer states that the machine's 3.4375-in. spherical roller bearings have 50% greater dynamic capacity than similar units offering 2.9375-in. bearings.

The shredder features a cross-draft design for material removal on larger widths, a smaller foot print that includes feed belt, exterior mounted fittings, overfeed sensors that auto-reverse up to three times, and a stop cable at the feed inlet. The unit also includes hour meters that track usage efficiencies, provide maintenance planning, and monitor machine on time.

The shredder offers touch screen controls, which include diagnostics and password protection, to help users visualize operation. An optional core processor feeder is also available.
