Logistics System: Loading Automation And UK Affiliate Purchase Advanced Handling Systems
Buyout Promises Great Things for
North American Customers Seeking Loading, Handling, and Logistics Systems
A recent acquisition has positioned Loading Automation, Inc. of Wilmington, NC, as one of North America's largest and most diverse manufacturers, distributors and sellers of loading, handling and logistics products. They are sold into and used extensively by transportation and containerization firms for industrial and consumer products. One of the lines currently sold by the firm enjoys an 80 percent market share.
Specifically, Loading Automation, Inc. and UK affiliate company Hydraroll Ltd. (a division of Joloda International, Ltd.) have purchased the former Advanced Handling Systems (AHS). All production and sales and services from AHS have been transferred to Loading Automation in North Carolina. Further, all products and services will now besold under the Loading Automation name, according to company officials, for complete plant automation that begins and ends with automated shipping and receiving systems.
Loading Automation (LAI) was and remains the exclusive supplier of Hydraroll roller track systems for the trucking industry, sells Joloda products, plus now manufactures those products formerly designed and produced by AHS. AHS was the major North American competitor to Hydraroll. More than 10,000 materials handling systems have been sold throughout the North American Continent.
Significance is Far-Reaching
The significance of this recent acquisition is that it now brings together products and services of two of North America's premier companies as well as those in the UK. The focus will be on selling, servicing and installing loading, handling and logistics systems and trailer loading products as well as other materials handling products, under a single roof.
Now, the purchase by U.S.-based Loading Automation and the UK-headquartered Joloda/Hydraroll, gives North American customers needing products and systems for the transportation and handling of goods, a greater diversity of products with stronger sales, service and support. Loading Automation's rollerbeds and skate-based systems will now be the most extensive in the industry from a single source, due to the global connection.
Products and services are sold into Fortune 100 companies, all major air cargo carriers and airlines, parcel operators such as Fed-Ex, UPS and DHL, beverage and drinks such as Coors, Anheuser-Busch, Southern Wine and Spirits, high volume consumer goods Procter and Gamble, Frito-Lay and the automotive industry such as Honda, Toyota, General Motors and Goodyear.
