Logistics Solution: TNT Introduces Domestic Express Services & Solutions In Vietnam

TNT, the provider of global express services, marks yet another first in Asia today as it unveils its domestic express services & solutions in Vietnam with an investment of more than €7M over the next four years. The launch follows increasing demand from customers in the region for efficient and reliable transportation of goods in Vietnam. With this initiative, TNT becomes the first international express mover in the country to introduce and offer these premium express services and set the highest international standards in goods transportation within the country.

Part of the investment will go towards additional vehicles and new hires. The company will also open five more branches in Bac Ninh, Vinh Phuc, Vinh, An Giang and Ca Mau province to support the service, thereby increasing the total number of TNT's branches in Vietnam to 23.

TNT also plans to extend the Asia Road Network to reach China through the north-eastern border of Vietnam by the end of 2007.

As with all its services, TNT will offer an integrated and comprehensive range of services for time definite door-to-door express delivery of documents, parcels and freight in Vietnam. Customers can expect full track and trace visibility, round the clock support as well as a 60-minute pick-up service for consignments from the moment TNT is notified. Customers can also look forward to additional benefits such as a ‘receiver pays' solution where receivers are invoiced the transportation charges for added convenience.

• 10:00 Express – Guaranteed delivery before 10am on the next (or earliest possible) business day
• 12:00 Express – Guaranteed delivery before 12 noon on the next (or earliest possible) business day
• Express – Delivery before close of business on the next (or earliest possible) business day
• Economy Express – Cost-effective express delivery for less urgent shipments before end of local business hours on a schedule business day
• Road Freight – Road Freight delivery of large and heavy shipments for delivery during normal business hours on a non-schedule day
• Special Services – A range of individually customized and highly flexible delivery solutions to meet extraordinary requirements that standard express services are unable to fulfil.
