Kewill Parcel Solutions Now Offer Easy-To-Use Business Tools To Analyze Shipping Costs, Configure Business Rules And Ensure Compliance

Flagship 6.0 and Netship 4.6 Address Supply Chain Managers' Critical Business Challenges

Chelmsford, MA (Marketwired) - Kewill, Ltd., a leading provider of multimodal transportation and logistics management solutions for seamless supply chain execution, today announced the availability of powerful shipping management tools that enable business users to analyze and optimize shipping performance and expense management, automate complex shipping decisions using configurable business rules and automate U.S. Government AES filing requirements for its market leading Flagship 6.0 and Netship 4.6 parcel shipping solutions. The products are part of the recently-launched Kewill MOVE™ platform for multimodal transportation and logistics management, which enables customers to gain a holistic view of the logistics network with end-to-end visibility across the most critical supply chain execution processes.

"Organizations today must be able to continuously adapt shipping services to meet changing customer and market requirements," said Jay Waldron, SVP, Americas at Kewill. "They require solutions that provide complete supply chain visibility to identify potential issues coupled with the ability to quickly adapt their business processes to maintain their competitive advantage."

MANAGING COSTS
Supply chain managers in the field lack visibility into their total spend across Parcel and LTL shipping, and carrier invoices are difficult to manage due to a variety of factors, including disparity among carriers and file formats. Organizations need a solution to consolidate all of these invoices, reduce complexity and enable them to understand and analyze their total spend. Kewill Billing and Reporting, a component of Flagship 6.0 and Netship 4.6, provides visibility and insight into total spend through a single web-based invoice. This enables users to understand variances between anticipated costs and actual carrier invoice costs, allowing them to manage expenses week over week through a controlled and organized process.

ADAPTING TO MARKET VOLATILITY
Whether it's quickly automating a new customer's routing guide or adjusting shipping service selections due to a weather event, it is critical for organizations today to quickly adapt to changing customer requirements and market conditions while still maintaining committed customer service levels. Kewill's Shipping Rules Module enables transportation and logistics users to quickly configure, test and deploy shipping business rules with no IT involvement, delivering businesses a significant time to production advantage. The Shipping Rules Module is available in Flagship 6.0, as part of the Kewill MOVE platform, and will be available for Netship in the coming months.

MAINTAINING COMPLIANCE
In order to ensure compliance with U.S. government regulations, organizations must file documentation electronically with the U.S. Census Bureau for shipments that meet certain criteria. Kewill's AES Filing Module is an AES-compliant application which provides seamless integration and a workflow-driven process allowing users to file outbound shipments electronically. The Customs Filing Module is available for Flagship 5.2 and higher and will be available for Netship in the near future.

Availability
Flagship 6.0 and Netship 4.6 will be generally available in Q4 2013. For pricing and other information, contact your Kewill representative.
