The new Storbot III inserter/extractor robot is integrated in an automated horizontal carousel system and, according to the manufacturer, provides a broad size range of cases and fast speeds for high throughput staging, buffering, storing, and picking requirements.
The robot's AC vector controls perform up to six transactions per minute, providing high throughput and 100% discrete case sensitivity, which can reduce the need for an accumulation conveyor.
System applications range from automated full case handling to environmentally controlled storage.
