Initial Importer Security Filing Report Cards On Importers And Customs Released By LOG-NET

LOG-NET, Inc., an industry leader in international web-based supply chain execution solutions, announced that its customers have received outstanding report cards from U.S. Customs initial compliance reports. LOG-NET offers a web-based ISF service, for importers, or their agents, to file the 10 importer data elements directly to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to comply with the Importer Security Filing (ISF), or "10+2," regulations.

U.S. Customs has officially released the initial round of ISF report cards, which focus on the volume, accuracy and timeliness of the importer's filings. LOG-NET's customers have been actively filing for several months and their first report card indicates a 98+ percent accuracy and completeness ratings. LOG-NET has experienced extremely low error rates due to its simple approach to integrating the solution into customer business processes.

Because of the detailed tracking and management capability in LOG-NET they have also compiled the following statistics on how U.S. Customs performed in processing ISF submissions:

Average: 3.5 Minutes
Median: 1.8 Minutes
Fastest: 12 seconds
Slowest: 3 hours

The median statistic supports U.S. Customs' commitment to reply to most ISF filings within 2 minutes. The slowest responses were noted as a point of concern for some importers as they could compromise vessel loading schedules. There were also some bugs reported to Customs in the initial start-up. LOG-NET noted that CBP client representatives have been very responsive to bug reports and have been expediting fixes and information on fixes throughout the process.

Cargo owners using the LOG-NET ISF platform cite the system's ability to integrate into their enterprise logistics processes as a key factor to their solid performance with CBP. Some LOG-NET clients have some extremely complicated shipments with multiple commodities and manufacturers on each Bill of Lading. Using LOG-NET's ISF platform they are able to build their filing in seconds with excellent accuracy.

Third Party Logistics Providers like CEVA Logistics and Summit Logistics International have been selecting LOG-NET's ISF platform because of its flexible architecture and ease of use. Because LOG-NET ISF capability supports multiple methods for creating ISFs, 3PLs are providing multiple options to their customers to improve the level of automation in the ISF and importing process. LOG-NET's 3PL clients have noted that LOG-NET's ISF platform gives them the ability to match ISF solutions to the technical and process capabilities of their client community.

As more companies come to grips with the need to deploy an ISF solution rapid, efficient deployment is a key capability 3PLs are looking for in an ISF solution. "We've enhanced our ISF solution offering with LOG-NET's ISF platform to better respond to customer request for a quality solution that is tested and flexible," noted Mike Johnson of Summit Logistics International.

LOG-NET's technological innovations enable importers to focus on the necessary process changes needed to comply with U.S. Customs regulations while improving the seamlessness of their supply chain visibility. LOG-NET offers several tiers of service supporting various levels of automation among importers, beginning at only 99 cents per filing.
