METRO Group makes the news again! Last week, Intermec announced that, using Intermec's IF5 RFID readers, METRO was enjoying 99% tag read rates at its largest distribution center (located in Unna, Germany). Remember, at this point METRO is only reading tagged pallets, in this case 50,000 of them so far. Intermec joins SAMSYS and SATO (also being deployed by METRO) and ADT (being deployed by Tesco) as announcing demonstrated good performance under ETSI radio standards for operation in Europe.
