GST Awarded $3.7M Under Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Contract For Professional Engineering And Logistics Support Services (PELSS)
TSA awards new $3.7M task to Global Systems Technologies (GST) under its Professional Engineering And Logistics Support Services PELSS contract.
Yardley, PA (PRWEB) - Global Systems Technologies, Inc (GST) has been awarded a new task order to provide Configuration Management (CM) Support to the Technology Products Qualification Branch of the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). This task order has a $3.7 million ceiling and was awarded for a five-month base period with the potential for TSA to exercise three additional option periods of one (1) year each.
This task order is the second issued to GST under its Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for Professional Engineering and Logistics Support Services (PELSS). In April 2010, TSA issued two IDIQ contracts for PELSS for a combined total ceiling price of $100 million. The PELSS contractors support five programs at TSA: electronic baggage screening, passenger screening, security technology integration, advanced surveillance technology, and air cargo.
GST President Achintya Bhattacharjee stated "GST has been in security R&D and certification testing of threat detection systems for many years. Under PELSS, we support multiple TSA programs in the integration, deployment, and on-going support of operational systems."

GST currently supports Homeland Security R&D, testing of explosives trace detection equipment, and development-stage testing for next generation passenger screening portals. Related products developed and manufactured by GST include explosive simulants and simulated IED training kits used in training Federal Air Marshals and Transportation Security Officers to identify explosive threats. GST also has information technology contracts with US armed forces.
GST supports contracts with Homeland Security, the US Navy, Army, and Air Force from its Yardley, PA headquarters and offices in Absecon, NJ and Crystal City, VA.
