Grainger Selects GENCO To Provide Reverse Logistics Software
Under the agreement, GENCO will operate a return center for Grainger to support the movement of product returns and discontinued merchandise back to Grainger suppliers. Through R-Log, GENCO's proprietary reverse logistics software, Grainger and their suppliers will benefit from unique strategies and cutting-edge technology, ensuring more efficient deliveries.
"By using GENCO's reverse logistics capabilities, Grainger will be able to devote more of its resources to ensuring our customers get the products they need to maintain their facilities quickly and conveniently," said Kevin Peters, Vice President, Inventory Management, Grainger.
Following a successful six-month pilot program, Grainger suppliers were pleased with the ease of the new service. Going forward, GENCO will continue to provide flexible sorting and inventory control through the reverse pipeline that supports Grainger's multiple product categories, and various item and supplier destinations.
"We are happy to provide our reverse logistics solution to Grainger," said Curtis Greve, president of GENCO's retail business unit. "Our goal is to help streamline their current process and reduce costs associated with product returns and discontinued merchandise."
