Genco will open Europe office
Genco Distribution System said this week that it would open its first office in Europe next month.
The new location, in London, will open for business on Jan. 2, the Pittsburgh-based logistics company said.
Genco said that it had explored Europe over the last year and identified a need for reverse logistics services.
The company said that it had recently ramped up a state-of-the-art returns program for Dixons Group that promises to deliver critical information to management on the retailer's operations.
Jason Shivetts, Genco's vice president of European business development, will direct the London office.
Genco said it would offer various logistics services to European retailers and manufacturers. It said those services will include:
- Returns processing
- Reverse logistics software
- Asset recovery
- Traditional distribution services
- Logistics consulting
Among Genco's customers are Wal-Mart, Sears, Kmart, Unilever, Reckitt & Benckiser, Levi Strauss and Co., Polo Ralph Lauren and Revlon.
