1/4" steel upper coupler plate slopes up in front and is welded to the skirt to provide additional reinforcement and impact-resistance.
Drop section 3/16" hi-tensile steel main rail webs are reinforced with gussets and diagonal stiffener bars for maximum strength.
Web stiffeners provide additional strength to the rails and protect against buckling.
