Fixed Head Seals

This company's fixed head dock seals can aid in conserving energy and protecting against dirt, debris, fumes, pests, and harsh elements. The fixed seals consist of three foam-pad sections — two vertical and one horizontal. Each pad section contains a strong core of polyfoam secured to a wood backing and is encapsulated within a tough, long-lasting fabric cover.

SPECIFICATIONS:

• Seal covers encapsulate the foam core and fasten to a 2-in. wood backing.
• Side pads feature a 3-in. wide contrasting guide stripe.
• Mounting brackets for installation are provided.

Various colors, pad widths, projections, tapers, and bevel shapes are available. In addition, a protective wear surface (Durapleat) for the vertical pad surfaces is optional in 4-, 8-, and 16-in. exposures. The manufacturer also notes that bumpers are essential with seal installation to prevent overcompression, protect the seal, and extend life expectancy.
