EMBARQ Logistics To Distribute FibroLAN Product Line

FibroLAN, a leading provider of integrated fiber-optic access systems for enterprises and service providers in metropolitan markets, and EMBARQ Logistics, Embarq's deployment, distribution and logistics division, have entered into an agreement where EMBARQ Logistics will distribute FibroLAN's MetroStar product line.

Communications carriers who deploy FibroLAN's MetroStar system will be able to offer their customers the latest in broadband services while at the same time simplify management and maintenance of their own fiber optic network.

FibroLAN's flagship product, the MetroStar system, enables carriers to provide highly reliable broadband services over fiber; ranging from low end 256Kbps needs all the way up to the latest 10G carrier Ethernet applications with extensive management capabilities. In addition, the MetroStar system provides a unique solution for carriers that desire to backhaul both legacy T1 and new Ethernet traffic from cell sites using the same fiber. FibroLAN offers also coarse wave division multiplexing (CWDM) solutions that increase capacity, allowing a carrier to make more use of existing fiber-optic lines.
