DSC Promotes Rick Dineen To Vice President, Transportation
DSC Logistics, an integrated logistics and supply chain management company, headquartered in Des Plaines, Illinois, announces the promotion of Rick Dineen to vice president, Transportation. In his new role, Dineen will be responsible for developing and implementing DSC Logistics' transportation strategy. DSC has recently expanded transportation services with existing customers, as well as been awarded several new customers solely utilizing those services.
Dineen will work with DSC's existing National Transportation Center, DSC's field operations, and DSC's Business Development/Customer Care teams on growing DSC's transportation portfolio and continuing to seamlessly integrate transportation and warehouse operations. Dineen began his career with DSC in 1993 in a customer service capacity, and was made transportation manager in 1995, playing a pivotal role in the creation of the Northeast transportation fleet. In 1997, as operations manager for the new Allentown, Pennsylvania Logistics Center, Dineen was instrumental in the Logistics Center's start-up. He was promoted to facility manager of the Allentown Logistics Centers in 1999, general manager in 2001, and group general manager in 2005. Dineen was responsible for the continued growth of DSC's Northeast region, as well as maintaining the high level of customer satisfaction within those Logistics Centers.
Dineen has been involved in over 20 successful start-ups, has effectively led both the asset and non-asset transportation operation in the Northeast, led a very dynamic and ever changing real estate and customer landscape and assisted on multiple Business Development opportunities. In addition to these accomplishments, Dineen was the first recipient of DSC's Brent Stone Leadership Award, an annual award given to an employee who exemplifies outstanding leadership and courage by thinking and working differently to help customers embrace and master change. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Richmond in Virginia and is currently pursuing an MBA at Kutztown University in Kutztown, PA.
