DHL Israel and Partner Communications Launch Cellular Service

Partner Communications Co. Ltd. and DHL Israel have launched a service that allows subscribers to track DHL parcels on cell phones.

By entering a simple SMS (short-message service) code, Partner subscribers can get information about parcel status from DHL's Internet site.

Partner Communications and DHL Israel are developing other applications that will deliver subscribers services like parcel-delivery prices and estimated-arrival time to locations around the world

In the future, subscribers will also be able to receive Delivery-price proposal by fax or by dialing *DHL, which will connect them directly to the DHL customer service center.

DHL Israel is a subsidiary of DHL Worldwide Express, is an international air-express company that had operated in Israel since 1997.

Partner Communications Co. Ltd. is Israel's only mobile telephone-network operator.
