D/C EXPO & DBMA Join Forces And Attendees At Navy Pier On May 18-20, 2004
The Distribution/Computer EXPO exhibition and seminars, and the Distribution Business Management Association's supply chain execution lab and related events will be held conjointly at Chicago's Navy Pier on May 18-20, 2004.
The unusual pairing brings together the events of C.S. Report Inc., a for-profit trade show organizer, and DBMA, a non-profit education association of some 67 universities from the U.S. and abroad.
"Due to the needs of the audiences of both groups, and the for-profit versus non-profit profiles of C.S. Report and DBMA, special care is being taken to ensure that the events and the organizations remain separate," says C.S. Report president Thomas Dulaney. "At the same time, special care is also being taken to insure that attendees' of both individual events reap significant gains from the availability of a wider array of educational and business opportunities as these events are held side-by-side."
D/C EXPO's well-known exhibition, the top trade show for software and systems for logistics, distribution, transportation, warehousing and supply chain, has been a landmark on the industry's calendar for over 21 years since the first EXPO in 1983.
D/C Seminars, featuring the most respected and knowledgeable speakers in the industry, will take place on May 18. The D/C Seminars are a strictly educational forum featuring the latest information on industry systems, technology and use.
The EXPO exhibits will be open on May 19-20.
The D/C EXPO will again feature the classroom-style DEMOs that were successfully pioneered at the 2003 event. "Feedback from attendees and participating exhibitors on the Demos was resoundingly positive and we want to build on their value to attendees in 2004," Dulaney said. The DEMOs will take place on May 19.
The D/C EXPO's highly-regarded Buyers Guide, an encyclopedia of details on the systems and services offered by exhibitors, moved onto the internet in 2003. It enables anyone in the industry to get up-to-date information and details on those systems. Buyers Guide data is updated continuously by exhibitors. Any industry professional, whether they attended the last D/C EXPO or not, can access this Guide at www.logistar.com.
