CTI, TNT combine to form TNT Logistics North America

Come Jan. 1, CTI Logistix will be known as TNT Logistics North America.

The companies said the name change, an integration of CTI of Jacksonville, FL, and TNT Logistics of Mississauga, ON, Canada, would create North America's seventh-largest logistics company.

TNT Post Group, based in the Netherlands, acquired CTI Logistix from the CSX Corp. in September. The change of names is a result of integrating the two entities.

CTI Logistix President and CEO Dave Kulik will lead the new company. Headquarters will remain in Jacksonville. Key corporate functions will continue in the Mississauga office. Automotive-logistics operations would be combined in Southfield, MI, the companies said.

TNT Logistics North America is part of TNT Post Group NV (TPG), which employs more than 116,000 people and furnishes services in more than 200 nations. TNT Logistics North America provides value-added supply-chain services such as network design/redesign, high-velocity crossdock, fulfillment centers, sequencing, kitting, subassembly, reverse logistics, dedicated-contract transportation and e-commerce services.
