CGL Omaha Station Opens As Gateway To The West

Concert Group Logistics (CGL), a Downers Grove, Illinois-based leader in transportation logistics, has announced the opening of its Omaha station in January 2008 under the leadership of Penny Horner. Horner has operated in the Omaha market since 1989, first as an independent agent for Union Pacific Air Express and then as an independent agent for Lynden Air Freight after Lynden acquired Union Pacific.

Under the guidance of Horner, the new Omaha Station is uniquely positioned to be a leader in transportation logistics. Horner says that Nebraska's central location makes it an ideal transportation hub. "In addition to its location, Nebraska provides a first class infrastructure and is home to one of the busiest intercontinental highways. Unlike anywhere else, highways here have minimal congestion and no major city is more than four hours by air, three days by truck or five days by rail."

Horner along with her highly skilled operations staff have more than 25 years of experience with transportation logistics. The Omaha team is extremely excited about the station's opening and being part of CGL. "Everyone at CGL has been so welcoming and supportive. There is a great sense of team and positivity within this network. The Omaha team and I greatly look forward to what the future will bring."

Gerry Post, president at CGL, views the addition of Horner and her team as a real asset to the CGL network. "With outstanding customer service and an ideal location, I believe the Omaha station is going to be a leading logistics provider."

With the addition of the Omaha Station, CGL now has a network of 23 stations throughout the United States, all of which are equipped to handle world-wide transport.
