CEVA Logistics Chosen By Eaton Electric To Manage Warehouse Operations Across Australia
CEVA Logistics, a leading global supply chain management company, recently announced the signing of a new contract for the management of warehouse operations in Australia for Eaton Corporation's Electrical Sector, a worldwide technology leader in the supply of electrical systems for power quality, distribution and control.
The new contract will see Eaton Electric relocate its existing warehouse facilities in Mascot, New South Wales and Dandenong in Victoria to CEVA's Distribution Centre at Erskine Park, New South Wales. Services provided by CEVA will include the receipt, storage, dispatch and inventory management of Eaton Corporation electrical product to customers across Australia.
The Managing Director of CEVA Australia, Howard Critchley said that he is delighted by Eaton's decision to further expand and strengthen this valuable partnership, one that commenced in Australia in 2006 involving the provision of transport service solutions for other Eaton business units.
"Importantly, today's announcement builds upon the foundation of our global relationship that commenced between the two companies in the early 1990's in the USA and is the first major logistics contract that Eaton Corporation has outsourced in Australia to CEVA. It is indicative of CEVA's service capability and commitment to operations excellence across the supply chain", explained Mr Critchley.
General Manager, Eaton Electric, Mr Lou Rosen commented: "CEVA's proven capability to ensure the seamless continuity of its business and service to customers was a key reason behind the decision to award the contract to CEVA. The CEVA team's logistics and warehousing expertise indicates that the new operation is in safe and reliable hands".
