New Maxim caster wheels are made with an exclusive, tough thermoplastic compound that resists hard impacts and drop-shocks. The wheels do not absorb water and are resistant to most chemicals, solvents, salts, gases, alkalis, and steam cleaning.
According to the manufacturer, when compared to other hard tread wheels, these new wheels require less force to start rolling, continue rolling, and to swivel. They are suitable for use in a normal temperature range of –40°F to 180°F, and in an extreme temperature range of -40 °F to 350°F.
In addition, the wheels are made of a recyclable wheel material, they do not mark floors, and are NSF listed.
