CIMC Nantong, the container industry’s leader in specialized container manufacturing, will build CakeBoxx Technologies’ innovative doorless intermodal shipping containers for the global market.

McLean, VA (PRWEB) - CakeBoxx Technologies, developer of the CakeBoxx doorless intermodal shipping containers, today announced a strategic cooperation with Nantong CIMC-Special Transportation Equipment Manufacture Co., Ltd. (CIMC Nantong), the global leader in special container manufacturing. CIMC Nantong will provide engineering and manufacturing services to CakeBoxx Technologies to serve the global market.

The CakeBoxx line of patented, doorless intermodal cargo shipping containers offers safe, secure and cost-effective container options for the global shipping and transportation market. The market-leading resources of CIMC Nantong will support CakeBoxx’s entry into a global cargo transportation market that is increasingly plagued with theft, damage, national security and loading efficiency issues.

“It is essential for us to build forward-looking relationships that will provide the absolute best service to our customers,” said Daine Eisold, CEO of CakeBoxx Technologies. “CIMC Nantong is the globally recognized leader in the manufacture of special containers. The breadth and depth of experience in their engineering, manufacturing and leadership teams is phenomenal. Their responsiveness and focus on quality and customer satisfaction are second to none. Working with their outstanding team is truly an honor for us and we could not be more excited to call CIMC Nantong our partner,” Eisold added.

“The CakeBoxx design is inspiring in our industry,” said Mr. Sam Jiang, Deputy Manager of CIMC Nantong’s Sales and Marketing Division. “We’ve invested a substantial amount of time in evaluating it, testing it and optimizing our manufacturing process for it. We have built just about every type of shipping container imaginable and immediately recognized the potential of the CakeBoxx design for solving a wide array of problems in the shipping industry,” Jiang continued. “We welcome the opportunity to work with the CakeBoxx team to deliver this capability and are confident our cooperation will be strong and productive.”

Instead of doors, the CakeBoxx container has two integrated components – the deck and the lid. When connected, the components form a ‘doorless’ intermodal shipping container, dimensionally identical to standard ISO containers, but with increased levels of safety and security for the cargo and significantly improved safety and efficiency in cargo handling operations. The lid is raised and lowered by all standard container handling equipment commonly used at ports and cargo-loading facilities. CakeBoxx fits seamlessly into all intermodal processes, including stacking, storage, terminal transfers and ship, rail and truck haulage. CakeBoxx containers are CSC certified and ISO-compliant.

The CakeBoxx container product line includes:

  • CakeBoxx Standard – standard 20’ and 40’ CakeBoxx models for dry cargo;
  • FreshBoxx – an insulated version of the CakeBoxx designed to control temperature excursions for temperature-sensitive cargos without costly mechanical refrigeration equipment;
  • ShortBoxx – a half-height CakeBoxx purpose-built for shipping heavy and drum cargo; and
  • CustomBoxx - the unique, doorless design of the CakeBoxx makes it highly customizable to meet unique, user-defined shipping and storage needs.
