Bulk Bag Unloading System

Material was a non free-flowing, blue crude powder. Unloading frame had a 4,000# capacity
APPLICATION / PRODUCT:
Material was a non free-flowing, blue crude powder. Unloading frame had a 4,000# capacity. The application required feeding 60-100 pounds of material per minute. Interruption of the feeding process to change bulk bags was required due to variable batch sizes. Dust tight operation was also required.

CUSTOM FEATURES:
A 2 ton Yale hoist with motorized trolley and adjustable bag hanger frame provided tension to lift bag during the unloading process. Lifting tension promoted material flow and discharge by eliminating "pockets" due to bag elongation.

Vibratory discharge pan included a "massaging" system consisting of two opposing "pads" mounted to the lower frame.

Timer control allowed for adjustable cycling of the pads which were activated by pneumatic cylinders. Bag side "punchers" were also incorporated to promote material flow and were fully adjustable in location, speed and force of impact.

System was equipped with a loss-in-weight batch control system. Programming allowed batch weight to be set, batch start sequence to be initiated, paused and restarted. System started and stopped the rotary valve as required to reach the appropriate batch weight. The custom rotary valve included a variable speed drive package to allow for full flexibility of feed rates.
