awp Industries, Inc. Receives Qs-9000/ISO 9001 Certification, Confirming Its Commitment To Quality Processes
A quality management system refers to the activities carried out within an organization to satisfy the quality-related expectations of its customers.
A QS-9000 quality system requires suppliers to establish, document, and implement effective quality systems focused on continuous improvement. Obtaining QS-9000 certification means that awp has met or surpassed the requirements and has undergone a third-party audit verifying the integrity of its quality operating system.
The QS-9000—which stands for "Quality System Requirements QS-9000— certification is based on stringent standards for ISO 9001, in addition to specific supplier quality standards for the Big Three auto makers—Ford, General Motors, and DaimlerChrysler.

"awp began to base its quality practices around the principles of QS-9000 more than three years ago," Chamberlin explained, "and last year declared its intent to become a registered company meeting the QS-9000 requirements."
