Automated Electrified Monorail Systems

Webb Automated Electrified Monorail Systems (AEMs) are engineered for clean, quiet, high-speed material handling efficiency. Through the use of track switches, lift sections, etc., carriers can be flexibly routed over complex paths, delivered to track levels of various heights and accumulated on the track.

The AEM includes on-line carrier identification and tracking capabilities. This provides instantaneous access to carrier and load locations, which is especially beneficial in situations where specific loads must be selected from on-line storage.

AEM carriers are individually powered, drawing energy from track mounted electrification. Systems feature standard operating speeds up to 300 feet/minute (100 meters/minute), although much higher speeds are possible in specialized applications. AEMs are adaptable to weights up to 6,000 lbs (2,722 kg) on both overhead and inverted configurations.
