- To provide a multi-modal, one-company/one call/one truck pick-up service from a single source that results in a more efficient transportation and logistics package for its customers.
- To create a new level of customer service, previously unheard of in the industry, reflected in all dealings with the customer, by every employee at every level.
- To demonstrate an attitude of concern for each shipment from each customer, and to maintain a flexible approach in custom designing a service to meet the customers' needs.
Born during a recessionary period, it was not necessary for National to go through the cut backs and downsizing, with resultant adverse effects on service, that other carriers had to endure. We designed in cost efficiencies right from the start in order to provide highly competitive price structures, while at the same time maintaining superior levels of service that our customers require in order to compete during times of fiscal constraint.
In February 1998, we moved into our new 148-door refurbished cross-dock facility in Concord, Ontario. This terminal is one of the largest of its kind in Southern Ontario and allows us to accommodate and exceed the needs of our customers.
Having solidified its terminal requirements, National turned its efforts onto internally developing custom software to address our operational, financial and customer service related requirements. These efforts in the technological area have culminated in this, our interactive web site. This web site allows customers not only to obtain information about National, but also to initiate their own dispatch orders and trace their own shipments from conception through to delivery. This web site allows us to use the technology available to improve our ability to meet our customers' needs.
