About Us
As the industry took on new form, ITRA adapted and continued to grow. This evolutionary process led to the introduction of new programs and services for the tire, rubber and transportation industries worldwide. Training and educating retread and commercial tire service technicians became a primary goal; legislative and regulatory representation gained greater importance; and tire and rubber recycling became a viable and necessary arm of the industry.
Most recently, ITRA established an Educational Foundation as a cornerstone for enhancing the Association's existing training and certification programs. The Foundation's primary focus is to provide a more qualified work force for the tire, rubber and transportation industries, increase productivity to enhance the industries' ability to compete in the global market and ensure transportation safety for the general public.
ITRA continually reaffirms its commitment to its members throughout the world to facilitate the growth and prosperity of their businesses into the 21st century.
