About Us

C.A.T. Inc. was incorporated in 1978 with the mandate to serve the shipping public between Canada and the United States. In 1984, C.A.T. acquired its ICC Authority which made the corporation one of the first carrier to have the legal authority to operate within Canada and the United States. In 1988, C.A.T. bought a transportation company in Covington, Virginia to better serve its new market.

Since then, major corporations such as Goodyear, Bridgestone/Firestone, Union Carbide, Volvo, Noranda, Westvaco helped C.A.T. attain a steady growth of over 20% per annum.

In 1994, C.A.T. outgrew its office in Valleyfield, Quebec, and moved to Coteau-du-Lac, Quebec. The new facilities have been designed to accommodate the future growth of the company through to the year 2000 without major modification. This location provides C.A.T.'s customers the convenience of warehousing for short and medium term leasing space.

C.A.T. grew its warehousing business along the years. A second warehouse was acquired in Valleyfield, Quebec in 1996 and a third one in Etobicoke, Ontario in 1998, cumulating a total of 425,420 square feet of warehousing space.

For the past 22 years, we have listened to our customers and responded to their needs with services that met their requirements. As a result, our efforts have awarded us the reputation of being a leader in the transportation industry.
