Drivers can automatically download their daily pickup and delivery schedules from the dispatch server to their touch screen terminals, simply by inserting their terminals into an infrared cradle at the yard. New jobs coming in throughout the day are transmitted to their terminals while they are in the vehicle.
The terminal displays information such as the customer name, weight, number of pallets of the new load and detailed instructions. It also displays detailed information on the consignee of each pickup or delivery and customer account information. Other data displayed includes customer signature, exception reports, number of pallets delivered and/or received. Current load weight, load composition and space available in trailer.
