Robocom Systems International Inc.he Robocom Inventory Management System) provides complete warehouse functionality, out-of-the-box. As a standard product, it can be implemented in as little as 16 weeks. The system offers an effective method of monitoring the flow of material in and out of the warehouse as well as tracking current stock. It provides flexibility by adapting to the unique characteristics of warehouses and products. It is a menu-driven application, which utilizes fixed video display computer terminals (VDTs). These VDTs are the basis of the system.

The system is designed to satisfy the requirements of virtually any warehouse environment. It provides a standard conveyor interface and custom interfaces can be provided to support carousels, automated storage and retrieval systems (ASRS) or other material handling equipment as necessary. The system utilizes the Unix operating system and has been ported to all major hardware platforms. The solution, written in PROGRESS (a fourth generation language), supports numerous relational database management systems (e.g. PROGRESS DBMS, ORACLE, SYBASE, and ODBC-compliant databases).
