Wireless Onboard Computer for Internet-based Fleet Management Service
The Windows CE computer is designed to handle the rigors of use on vehicles in wireless, wide-area network (WWAN) applications and serves as the onboard portal to manufacturer's Internet-based, fleet management service. In addition, the Windows CE operating system can allow users to add third party or custom application software.
The computer runs its operating system with an 80 MHz, 32-bit, RISC CPU. It features a touch screen and DMTN sunlight-readable LCD display, and provides three serial ports and a vehicle power supply. Options include: an eight-channel GPS receiver; an SAE J1708 engine interface; a keyboard port; IrDA interface; and a Gamber-Johnson, adjustable vehicle mount option.
