This radio-frequency identification (RFID) Long Range Vehicle ID system is made up of the manufacturer's AVT-159 active tags and IR-60E reader.

This vehicle control product is designed to facilitate access capability that allows vehicles to gain access to or through facilities requiring specified authorization. In addition, the manufacturer's RFID vehicle ID tags and readers provide access control services for recording and tracking crates or containers in any secured environment, such as chemical plants, mining companies, and oil refineries.

Users install the system by mounting the active tags on the undercarriage of the vehicle. This enables vehicles to be read by the in-road, mounted reader at distances of up to 32-in. (81 cm) and speeds up to 25 mph.
