3PL Provider UCW Logistics Selects Greenville, SC As Location For New Operational Headquarters

UCW Logistics, a leading North American third-party logistics provider, announced today the selection of Greenville, SC as the location of its operational headquarters. The Memphis, TN-based company decided to expand its 3PL services to include truck brokerage and freight transportation, selecting a location in the Southeast for their operational headquarters.

“There was a quick consensus among our management team that Greenville was the best location for the new third-party logisticssegment of our company," said Warren East, chief executive officer. “As a truck broker, our operational headquarters needs access to the ports of Charleston and Savannah to support UCW Logistics’ customers. The development of the Inland Port made Greenville the obvious choice; we are very happy to be here.”

In addition to being located near I-85, one of the busiest interstates in the nation, Greenville is also close in proximity to their Cordele, GA warehousing facility and UCW Logistics’ affiliations with warehouses in Decatur, AL; Vicksburg, MI; Shreveport, LA; and West Memphis, AK. Future expansion in Greenville, SC may include warehouse space and truck terminals.

Evan Cramer, senior vice president, said, “Our 3PL team is positioned for major growth, and we are pleased to expand our 3PL business within a city that supports great economic development and attracts the type of people that we are looking to hire.” Cramer continued, “The area offers a highly educated and talented workforce as well as an excellent business climate. We are extremely excited about the move to Greenville."
