Available in three models ranging from 4,000- to 9,000-lb capacities, the X-Series Long Load Handler (LLH) is built to carry long loads in aisles as narrow as 75-in. The 48V electric LLH is well suited for applications in the home improvement/building materials, fabricated metal, carpet, paper, and plastics fields.

This series' models feature a three-wheel chassis, allowing precise multi-directional, all-wheel steering for turn-on-the-spot capability. This maneuverability gives the series a short turning radius that can reduce the need for wide intersecting aisles in warehouses handling products such as tube, pipe, rolls of plastic, and carpet.

Regardless of load length, series can operate in an aisle just 30-in. wider than the load. Additional features include a two- or three-stage mast with free-lift heights that allow the LLH to operate through doorways or under low ceilings. A traction motor is coupled to each of two drive wheels through integral, planetary reduction gearing. The gearbox assemblies and drive motors are accessible for routine maintenance.

A 48V, 625-amp hour battery is standard. All models in this series feature a transistorized speed control package for smooth operation, and offer an optional fault diagnosis capability. In addition, a deadman brake, consisting of a hydraulically operated disc brake unit fitted to the drive shaft of each traction motor, is spring loaded to the "on" position and released by a foot pedal. The brake is automatically re-applied and current to the drive system shut off when the driver leaves the operating platform.
