Logistics Support, Incorporated (LSInc) Expands Its Transportation Capability

Logistics Support, Incorporated (LSInc) has provided Transportation and Traffic Management services to the Department of Defense (DoD) for over 10 years. Recently, through added capability and strategic partnerships, LSInc has expanded the breadth of services they provide in this area. LSInc President, Mr. Dave Compton, commented: “In the past, during emergencies like Hurricane Katrina, we’ve been called to provide trucks and related services on a large scale. Unfortunately, we always had to decline, stating that we don’t offer that capability. Now, our answer is: we can do that!”

During 2012, LSInc successfully coordinated the transport of 88 ship and submarine propellers/blade sets, 65 propeller shafts, 48 hubs and oil distribution boxes, 6 CIWS and DDG-1000 gun mounts, 3 LCAC Engines, 2 Sonar Domes, and various other major components. Additionally, LSInc provides effective packaging, handling, and transportability (PHT) oversight of each cargo transport mission, thus ensuring the DoD receives safe, secure, high quality service. Efforts during 2012 to date were provided without incident with an estimated cost savings to DoD of $5 to $8M.
