Industrial Printer

The Avery Dennison S-262 printer for industrial labeling applications is designed for carton- and package-labeling operations at distribution centers, warehouses, and manufacturing sites. The printer prints at 6-ips and features a 32-bit microprocessor and 4-in.-plus print head. It employs thermal transfer print technology to produce 1D and 2D bar codes, complex graphics and copy at resolutions of 203 dpi.

The printer processes die-cut or continuous labels, either roll-fed or fan-fold, in widths from 1.0- to 4.65-in. Its all-purpose sensor can detect notches or gaps in label media, or operate in reflective mode with black registration marks.

The printer can be controlled by a local PC equipped with the manufacturer's Tag and Label software, or integrated into a user's computer network. In addition, a front-panel LCD display and color-coded operator cues can permit easy setup with minimal operator training.

The printer features a die-cast aluminum cabinet for durability in busy labeling environments. Its "open" modular design can provide easy access for ribbon changes, routine maintenance, and future upgrades. Printer options include an internal rewind with a 6-in.-dia. capacity, and an external rewind with an 8-in.-dia. capacity and label dispense.
