Frontline Expo 2000: Portable Computer with 2D Bar Code Reading
The computer is designed specifically to decode barcodes on identification documents such as passports, visas, driver's licenses, and access control cards. When the two-dimensional barcode contains
supported fingerprint biometrics, the device performs "on-the spot" one-to-one instant verification. It decodes the high density 2DSUPERSCRIPT with an available option to decode PDF-417.
The computer features an embedded 32-bit operating system capable of offline independent operation or network integration and a 600-dpi full color contact image sensor. Also offered is a full alphanumeric keyboard, cursor control, and function keys; LCD display; 8MB of flash memory; and 32MB SDRAM standard; a rechargeable lithium ion battery; and an AC adapter/charger.
