The new platform-based DDC3 Digital Laser Coder features state-of-the-art electronics, new software, a high-resolution print option, and Rainbow laser tubes.

According to the manufacturer, the laser coder uses specially tuned laser tubes to accommodate difficult to code, industry specific packaging materials while maintaining code quality on other substrate encountered. It has the ability to digitally adjust laser power levels of thinwall materials without the danger of perforating or compromising package integrity.

In addition, the unit's design uses seven matrix-arrayed, low power, direct focused laser tubes that operate at one seventh the duty cycle of conventional, liquid cooled, high power, single tube designs.
