November 9, 2000

The National Industrial Transportation League (NITL), a Virginia-based organization representing shippers, said this week that it has joined with Transportation.com, Inc. and Transportation for Tots, a national charitable toy-collection campaign benefiting needy youth.

In the effort, toys and monetary gifts at a tractor trailer display on the TransComp 2000 show floor in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Nov. 11 to 15. TransComp is the trade show held in conjunction with NITL's annual meeting.

The Toys for Tots Foundation will receive the toys and monetary gifts collected. A Ft. Lauderdale Marine Corps Unit will be on hand to collect donations.

Donations will also be collected at other transportation-related events around the country, NITL noted. An online toy-collection campaign kicked off on Oct. 30 will continue through Dec. 15.

NITL noted that with the help of e-Toys.com, Transportation for Tots toy donors can visit Transportation.com's home page at www.transportation.com, and link directly to a Transportation for Tots wish list with several popular toy choices identified by e.Toys for youth at a cost less than $25.

Transportation.com will offer computers in Booth 1120 at TransComp to order toys.
