The time required to access and input information through multiple screens is expensive and inefficient.
Problem
Because Legacy systems' user interface is through terminal emulation, the user must navigate a series of screens and fields within the screens to enter and retrieve information. The only way to get through the screens is to continuously enter though the fields and screens. The other way is to modify the application by writing a new screen to perform this functionality. Many companies do not have the staff, or desire to modify their application system.
Vision
To have a method to consolidate multiple screens into one screen without modifying the host application and do it in a Graphical User Interface (GUI), PC based platform.
Solution
Infoscan has developed a methodology and process to consolidate and optimize data entry and retrieval screens for Legacy systems and does so in a Windows / GUI environment. Through the use of industry standard tools and knowledge of how to use and apply those tools, Infoscan's programmers are able to create fast efficient data entry and retrieval screens without modifying the Legacy applications. Host environments supported include: 5250, 3270, Unix (vt100/220) and variations. Network support is required.
